When you know that the dark is lying, can you still trust it?
The Monster Treaty was recently broken by Kierse McKenna. Again.
She was not solely to blame. The task was meant to be straightforward: rob the Queen of the Nymphs in her own palace of a bracelet manufactured by goblins.
Exchange the bracelet for information about her past. However, everything goes in a different direction.
Then he arrives to save her.
Graves—the warlock who trapped her, deceived her, and abandoned her. He is a bad guy. A creature shrouded in enchantment and darkness. Fortunately for her, he always understands her desires.
Graves, however, never works for free. His favorite little thief has a job for him. One that will put her up against the strongest creatures on the planet, such as the Oak King, his mortal adversary.
Together, they stand a chance of stealing an ancient artifact that has been found. All she needs to do is let him in.
However, once she lets a monster in, it is hard to forget him. and even more difficult to avoid.
